Let me tell you why I like it…

– It’s got a nice, sleek, shiny black platform with silver outlining on the sides as you can see on the photo. The weight scale looks simple, yet elegant. It’s just a simple clean design, which I typically like.

– It’s got a wide platform, which provides a stable base of support. It’s approximately 15-1/2 inches wide and 12 inches deep (I say approximately, because I didn’t count millimeters/centimeters), which is enough space to hold a big body. The one we replaced was about half the size of this, so you have to balance yourself on a tiny platform. Imagine getting your granny to balance on that scale. Not a problem with this!!

– It can hold up to 440 lbs — not that anyone in my family is planning to go that far! But it’s good to know that it can handle a heavier weight, if needed.

– You can switch between lbs or kg, whichever is your preference. I stick with the pounds, although I know how to convert from one to another.

– It has a large LCD display. Nothing fancy, like colored blue LEDs. Just a large LCD that displays large black fonts.

– You don’t need to turn a button ON before using it. Just a simple step on your foot and it’s ready to go. It turns off by itself to conserve battery juice, and will let you know if the battery is low.
