I’m a “Do-It-Yourself” kind of guy, so having power tools at hand in my garage is always a big plus. Here’s one in my possession that I haven’t talked about yet — the Capri Tools 32200 Impact Wrench.

The photo above is how it is packaged for purchase. The packaging box also contains some information about the wrench kit, particularly its features. For me, I like that it has one because it adds a little cushioning during the shipment process. Here it is without the package box:

As you can see, it comes with a nice, sturdy-looking case, meant to protect the tools inside. The case is secured with a metallic lock instead of plastic, which I am happy about.

The power tool itself is made of both plastic and metal component. It appears to be made well. It’s got some weight to it too, I’m guessing due to the motor parts inside and the metallic covering on a good portion of the power tool.

There is also 1-year warranty included, which is reassuring. When you open the case, you will find an instruction manual inside. The last page of the manual contains the warranty form that you need to fill in and complete. It will ask for a serial number on the registration form. I’m guessing this is the same as the Batch # — which is the only identifier that I can find displayed on the side of the wrench tool, where all other specs are listed.

By the way, the tool comes with 4 wrench attachments, as you can see in this photo:

Each has varying sizes, and the size is engraved on each one for your reference. As you can also see in the photo below, the manufacturer has engraved the type of metal each is made of — “Chrome Vanadium.” Vanadium is some kind of hard, malleable transition metal according to a quick search on the web.

To avoid problems when you are screwing/unscrewing a nut/bolt, make sure you are pressing the right switch location on the handle bar. In fact, pressing the wrong direction can not only potentially destroy the apparatus but can cause injury to yourself.

Remember, “R” which is located on the top part of the switch is for reverse (normally, counterclockwise, to loosen); “F” on the bottom part is for forward direction (normally, clockwise, to tighten).

One other word of caution: make sure you have a good, strong grip on the Capri Tools 32200 Impact Wrench tool before using it. If you don’t, you can twist your arm or wrist and can injure yourself potentially. The motor is strong, so be prepared for it!

It’s got rubber grips on the handle, to help you with this.

It’s convenient to have this at home in case I need to change the tires of my cars myself. I also comes handy with my trailers, when I have to replace worn out or defective tires. If you have home projects that require big nuts and bolts, this one will be helpful too. It’s powered by AC and not DC, so you can’t use this with your car battery when you break down on the road unless you have a power inverter available and a battery that’s not drained.
