I’ve been living in Texas for some time now, but I gotta be honest with you… I haven’t really been to a lot of famous places in Texas! Shame on me! In my own defense though, I gotta say this: Texas is HUGE! It’s true… everything is bigger in Texas… and that means you’re left with too many options to go to! Of course, there are places in Texas that we’ve visited for family vacation, but I don’t know what other spots I’m missing out on. That’s where this book by Jody Rookstool comes in handy, and it narrows the selection down to a doable size:

The book is called “Top 12 Places to Visit in Texas” in paperback format. Jody Rookstool, who is a blogger herself, shares her favorite places to visit in Texas. Each recommended place comes with valuable information so that you know what to expect in each place. Where necessary, she details the best time of the year or of the day to visit a particular place, which is useful information to know if you ask me. She even added links to websites on the bottom of the page for each destination, so that you can find more information about a particular place as needed.

Now don’t expect a fully-illustrated, artwork-filled book, as you would otherwise expect if you were to get a hardcover version. Otherwise, you’d be disappointed. This is just a simple paperback book of text information. At this price, you are really just receiving information to read about a particular destination MINUS the pictures. The rest is left up to your imagination. I do wish it comes with photos of each destination though, as I’m a picture type of guy (So much so that I even choose my food in restaurant menus based on pictures). But then, that would more than likely increase costs for the publisher/author which comes back to me as increased cost (=

The good news is that for those places that she recommends, you can always go to the internet and find photos to give you a glimpse of that travel destination.

Although it’s missing pictures as I’ve noted above, the information hidden within is still useful though.
