When you first turn it on, you will be prompted to set the date/time. It’s up to you if you want to do that or not. I suggest that you set the date and time accordingly, especially if you want to keep track of your results on a regular basis using the memory. By the way, you are able to track up to 60 entries for 2 users in the memory, if needed.

Also, it was so easy for me to set the date/time. I didn’t even have to read the manual to do it, since the markings on the unit made perfect sense to me — up and down arrows (memory and user buttons), set button (start/stop).

Connecting the upper arm cuff was as simple as plugging it into the input on the left side of the monitor. The BP monitor is accurate in my opinion. I’ve tried it and the results displayed were comparable to my known typical readings. By the way, the numbers are displayed in large LCD fonts, so there’s no way you should miss your systolic/diastolic readings.
