This kit is so tiny you can bring it anywhere if you want to!
I am referring to the Vellostar Compact Sewing Kit shown in the photo below.
Don’t let this picture that I’ve taken fool you! The sewing kit is small and makes it really very portable. I’ve done some measurement estimates and the case is only about 4.6 in wide and about 5 inches tall. I have included the photos below so you can get an idea of the measurements.
As you can see, the Vellostar Sewing Kit is very compact indeed!
I like it because it doesn’t have to take a lot of space, so finding storage room for it is not an issue. It should easily fit on a backpack or a luggage back for traveling purposes — in case you want to prepare for the possibility of a last-minute wardrobe malfunction. It can happen! If you are involved in plays and such where changing outfits is part of the process, keeping this with you can be handy.
It comes complete, as previously mentioned, and I’m listing below some of the contents that I recognize (sorry, I’m not a seamstress)
– scissors
– needles (that’s the pink container on the photo)
– safety pin
– extra button
– a measuring tape
– several colors of threads and their spools
– a couple of pins
– and more!
The contents are held in place with an elastic band as you can see in the above photo.
Now you can’t sew a whole new wardrobe with this kit, of course, so don’t complain if you try! However, it’s suitable for fixing tears, holes, and other simple wardrobe malfunctions.
By the way, in case you were wondering… yes, I do know how to sew clothes!!! I sew and iron my own clothes, thank you very much! (applause). I’ve been sewing holes on my clothes since I was a kid (thanks to family training). When you grow up poor and don’t have money to buy new clothes, all you do is sew and make it work until nothing can be done!
But enough about me…
