Biting mosquitoes are no fun! This is specially a problem during the rainy season. It’s good to be prepared with some form of protection — especially when mosquitoes can possibly bring with them a host of deadly illnesses/infection, such as those brought about by malaria and the West Nile virus. One of such protection to keep in stock is the Amare Terra Natural Mosquito Repellent, which is pictured below.
The label on the bottle reads “DEET-free.” DEET, which stands for diethyltoluamide, is pretty much the pesticide chemical that is the most active ingredient in most of the repellents out there. It’s toxic to insects… and if that’s the case for insects, wouldn’t it be plausible that it can be harmful to spray on yourself regularly as well? Just a thought.
The good news is that there are natural options out there. The CDC has acknowledged research that shows natural alternatives can be effective too, as you can read from this Harvard article.
The Amare Terra Natural Mosquito Repellent boast a natural blend of essential oils, including Lemon Eucalyptus. It comes in a red bottle containing about 2.5 oz.
Since this one is only 2.5 oz though, I might have to buy more for a family of 5… especially when I have girls that like to go outside with me.
As with most natural repellents, you may have to frequently apply to keep the mosquitoes away consistently. However, I’d rather re-apply natural solutions such as the Amare Terra Natural Mosquito Repellent than spray potentially harmful chemicals on my baby’s skin.
By the way, did you know you can help others by purchasing this particular mosquito repellent? The founders of Amare Terra are committed to help the needy and promise that with every purchase, 1 month of usable water is provided to someone in need. That’s worth noting!
Ready to purchase protection for your family and help others at the same time? Just go to the Amare Terra website for more details. If you have a Prime account, this is also available on Amazon for quick shipping.
